My Inner Child Is Ageless

I've thrown my life to the wind, only things left, some money in the bank, but when I look at my hands, they're empty, I wouldn't have anything to take if I knew this night was the last.

I can see my face in the pictures, but is that me?

Who is he - that child running across the sands of Palanga - full of faith that a magical life awaits him. Not like the others, oh no - it will be extraordinary, special and endless!

And that university graduate, happy and in love?

And that dad carrying his daughter walking along the ocean?

Some other person, some other day.

And my day is today.

And I'm only here, I never seem to have been anywhere else. Neither in childhood in Palanga, nor in the university graduation party. Even at Foje's last concert in Vingios Park - although everything is filmed, there is a cheerful young man at the drums! But is it me?

I am only this moment, these hands writing this sentence, these thoughts, I don't know where they come from.

Even the wishes that I think I made up myself - even they are not in my will. After all, I can't plan what I will want when I wake up tomorrow.

But I still have one thing.

Childish hope that people can be good.

This thing does not change in me.
